Trying to order the mess!!!

Ok... right now, I have too many eggs and larvae of different instars... is all a mess... just a little ordered... so, I'm tryin to make an inventory:

Number of species: 6

1. Apodrosus sp.
2. Diaprepes abbreviatus
3. Diaprepes maugei
4. Lachnopus coffeae
5. Lachnopus sp.
6. Scelianoma elydimorpha

For all species, I have adults, eggs and larvae.

Let's make a post for each of them to make easy to get and put info!

Diaprepes maugei

Today I've found a batch of eggs from Diaprepes maugei, from a couple that was collected at Cerro Punta (Puerto Rico) on march 15th.
The eggs where strongly added on the tissue paper placed into the petri box (for humidity maintenance), between a fold made by the weevils.
I'm waiting for the larvae!

I have eggs from Lachnopus!

On february 18 we (the Franz Lab) was in the field, collecting weevils at Guánica Forest. We bring some weevis of four different species: Apodrosus argentatus, Artipus sp., Lachnopus sp., Scelianoma elydimorpha. I'm trying to rear the Entiminae weevils from Puerto Rico, because of the lacking of knowlwdge about their biology, and because the larvae presents many features that would help in my systematic morphological analysis.
Today, after many days of awaiting, finally I've found some eggs!!!
It was so exciting!!!
Now, I hope I can obtain the larvae, is just a matter of time and patience!
